A “must have” for your summer reading,
er, watching list!

The time is write! The Block is here and the author couldn’t
be more... what’s the word?
It’s late at night, you have your typewriter, your dictionary, your
drink, and your New York Times review calling you the “Next
Great American Novelist.” You have everything you need to write
your next book. Except ANY CLUE what to write!
Point of You favorite, Gerard J. Savoy is back as bestselling author Adam
Lux. Adam has only seven hours left to turn in his much anticipated second
novel and precisely four (god awful) sentences written. Unable to delay
his deadline any further, Adam must complete his masterpiece
tonight… a night where he is plagued by little things like break
ups, pregnancies, cancer and the mob.
The Block is a compelling and comedic look at a writer trying
to do what’s right.
Written by Olivia Worden, The Block is a part of our New Play
Development Series and features an array of New York City’s most
creative artists: Jennifer A. Grundy, David Holt, Alyssa Mann, Gerard
J. Savoy, Gerry Sheridan, and Morgan White. Directed by Jeff Love with
assistance by Marc Adam Smith.
